Our Name:

The name Cardiphonia comes from the title of a collection of personal letters written by John Newton to friends, parishioners, and others in need of wisdom and spiritual direction. The name was originally suggested by William Cowper, Newton’s chief collaborator on the Olney Hymns.   John Newton is an inspiration to us because of the role he played as a nurturer of faith both as a pastor and hymnodist.
