The Church Year, or liturgical calendar is a fantastic way to keep yourself accountable to proclaiming the whole gospel. While not a Biblically binding mandate in any way it is one of the most useful tools the church has innovated to tell the majestic story of scripture. Focusing in on the life of Christ the church calendar points us forward and backward in salvation history. Pouring forth from Christ’s teaching in Luke 24 the calendar strives to pull all of scripture in and through the life of Christ.
