May the Grace of Christ Our Savior – a sung trinitarian benediction

I’ve noticed this text a few different places recently so thought I would post the arrangement we use at church every so often.

This is a beautiful short text by the famous hymnodist John Newton based in Pauls benediction to the Corinthians (2 Cor 13:14). There is nothing more Biblically profound then finishing your service with a sung benediction that hails the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

May the Grace of Christ Our Savior
leadsheet | info

1 May the grace of Christ our Savior,
And the Father’s boundless love,
With the Holy Spirit’s favor,
Rest upon us from above!

2 Thus may we abide in union
With each other and the Lord,
And possess, in sweet communion,
Joys which earth can not afford.
