Doxologies for Christmas

Here are a few doxologies to use for the Christmas and Advent season if your church regularly sings the doxology, or gloria patri or if you’re just wanting to add something a bit more liturgical to your musical diet. Great to sing after the assurance of pardon or as a closing song.

FromSavior, of the Nations, Come
mp3 | chart

Praise to you, O Lord, we sing.
Praise to Christ, our newborn King!
With the Father, Spirit, one,
Let your lasting kingdom come.

FromCreator of the Stars of Night
mp3 | chart

To God the Father, God the Son,
And God the Spirit, Three in One,
Laud, honor, might, and glory be
From age to age eternally.

FromThe Mystery of Godliness
mp3 | chart

O risen Christ, ascended Lord
All praise to Thee let earth accord
Who art, while endless ages run,
With Father, and the Spirit one.

FromOf the Father’s Love Begotten
mp3 | chart

Christ, to Thee with God the Father, and the Spirit there shall be,
Hymn and chant and high thanksgiving, and unwearied praises be:
Honor, glory, and dominion, and eternal victory,
Evermore and evermore!

FromAngels from the Realms of Glory
mp3 | chart

All creation, join in praising,
God the Father, Spirit, Son;
Evermore your voices raising
To th’ eternal three in one:

Refrain:
Come and worship, come and worship,
Worship Christ, the newborn King.
