Hope College Worship – All Hail Christ

I’m getting ready to finish my first school year as the Worship Chaplain at Hope College – a beautiful small college located in Western Michigan that loves to worship Jesus Christ. Every year (for the past 20) Campus ministries has released a record of the services at Hope.  50+ chapels a semester and a Sunday evening service – The Gathering – almost every week.

This year our record is titled All Hail Christ – a brilliant song written by Josh Banner and Susanna Childress.  The Record is a crazy mix of styles and genres within the vein of modern worship. From the music teams, to the tech crew, to the 1000+ students gathering with us most days it’s a big love affair.  We hope you enjoy it!

A few places to start:

All Hail Christ – think Phil 2 meets Arcade Fire | chart

Hallelujah – midwestern punk rock worship

Rising Sun – great song from All Sons and Daughters and a new classic for us featuring a killer string arrangement by City Church’s Minna Choi.

Come Thou Fount – our modern take with the traditional tune.

O God of Our Salvation – Modern worship with a needed injection of Trinitarian theology! written by by Matt Boswell and Michael Bleeker.

  1. I heard “All hail Christ” at the symposium last week and liked it very much. Have you made the chart available anywhere for others to use?
